BriefThis rendering is the final result of 'modelling to design', a brief set in my second year of university. We were asked to design a piece of furniture directly by using physical moulding methods.
Response
I answered the brief by initially designing from a scrap piece of corrugated aluminium sheet. I found the whole process incredibly natural and intuative. After finishing the model I decided to draw it with CAD using Solidworks. This then allowed me very easily to visualise the chair in a wide range of materials and finishes.
